Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team seeks a Finishing Working Lead for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am) to guide daily finishing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will mentor operators, read blueprints, and use precision tools in a hands-on role.

This onsite position supports advanced aerospace components at our Columbus, GA facility, with emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for this role.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience or technical/military training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Finishing operations by coordinating workflow and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members; partner with supervisors on scheduling and training.
• Perform hands-on manufacturing work; read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Track work in process, lead tier meetings, and manage tools and supplies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.
