Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team seeks a Finishing Working Lead to guide daily operations, provide technical expertise, and support production goals on the 4:00 pm - 2:30 am shift. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on‑time delivery in a highly skilled aerospace manufacturing environment.

You will mentor teammates, manage workflow, read blueprints, and perform precision measurement tasks as needed while coordinating with supervisors on scheduling and career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience, technical or military training, or military training experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Finishing operations by coordinating workflow, supporting production priorities, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while partnering with supervisors on scheduling, training, and career development.
• Perform hands-on manufacturing work as needed, including reading blueprints, following work instructions, and using precision measuring tools.
• Track work in process, lead tier meetings, order tools and supplies, and support other daily administrative activities.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance needs through ANDON Systems or MTS and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies while performing other duties to support business needs.
