Job summary

E-ONE is seeking a production technician to prepare units for welding, assembly, or painting of large custom vehicles. You will sand, grind, bevel edges, and ensure surfaces meet specifications as part of building high-quality fire trucks.

Responsibilities include material handling, quality checks, tool readiness, and maintaining a safe work environment. The role requires adherence to safety standards and teamwork to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Effective communication skills, written and oral.
• Good math skills.
• Forklift license (must be able to obtain E-ONE-issued forklift license).
• Recordkeeping abilities.
• Knowledge of and adherence to E-ONE safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Sand, grind pats or bevel edges in preparation for welding.
• Review material and production requirements; obtain and move tools/materials to work area.
• Blow off and wipe down components; inspect for defects and surface irregularities.
• Apply fillers, sand areas to meet surface finish requirements; primer as needed.
• Wire brush welds; remove excess weld beads; polish surfaces to meet cosmetic specs.
• Respect safety rules; maintain clean, safe working environment; follow 5-S philosophy.
• Follow standard procedures and meet production schedules.
