Job summary

O-I, a world leader in glass packaging, invites applications for a Production Shift Supervisor (Finished Products) at the Toano, VA plant. You will supervise hourly workers in a continuous production environment and help drive safety, quality, and efficiency goals across the shift.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to train staff, manage time records and production reports, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a rotating schedule.
• High School degree or equivalent; college education preferred.
• Experience supervising people and processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate w/ proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Previous experience working in a Union environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and productivity by monitoring and performing mechanical, visual, and informational system checks.
• Reviews shift operation and make recommendations regarding how plant operations can further improve to meet service, quality, safety and productivity goals.
• Ensures that all people in work group are adequately trained and are knowledgeable of department procedures.
• Monitors control charts and reviews process shifts with key personnel.
