Job summary

O-I is seeking a Glass Manufacturing Shift Supervisor (Hot End) in Toano, VA to supervise hourly production teams in a continuous operation. You will support safety goals, process improvements, and ensure high-quality, efficient production across shifts.

Candidates should have strong supervisory experience in manufacturing, good communication, and familiarity with union environments. Prior glass manufacturing exposure is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a rotating schedule.
• High School Degree or equivalent (minimum).
• College education in related major preferred.
• Experience supervising/leading people and processes in a Manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate w/ proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Previous experience working in a Union environment highly preferred.
• Glass manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees in the continuous operation of the plant's production activities.
• Support safety, process improvements, and high-quality production efficiencies.
• Ensure team members are trained and knowledgeable of procedures.
• Monitor control charts and communicate shifts with key personnel.
