Job summary

O-I in Toano, VA is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor (Finished Products) to supervise hourly workers and drive safety, quality and productivity in a continuous operation plant. You will help meet plant goals and lead improvements.

Candidates should have a high school or equivalent, manufacturing supervision experience, strong communication, and ability to work rotating shifts in a union environment. O-I offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a rotating schedule.
• High School Degree or equivalent required; college preferred.
• Experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Previous experience in a union environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees in the continuous operation of the plant's production activities.
• Assist in maintaining focus on plant goals, safety, continuous process improvements, and quality and productivity efficiencies.
• Ensure team is trained and knowledgeable of department procedures.
• Monitor control charts and review shifts with key personnel.
