Job summary

O-I Toano plant seeks a Glass Manufacturing Batch & Furnace Manager to lead furnace operations and batch house activities, including environmental controls and budget oversight. You will supervise salary and hourly staff across batch and furnace operations and manage raw materials and glass formulas.

The role requires extensive furnace experience, leadership skills, and a track record of lean improvement in a large-scale production setting at Toano, VA.

Qualifications

• Glass furnace operations experience required.
• Experience supervising salary and hourly personnel.
• Ability to plan preventive maintenance activities.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Production and Quality Managers to produce glass containers while improving quality and efficiency.
• Be accountable for supervising salary and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of batch and furnace operation.
• Manage incoming raw materials and glass formulas.
