Job summary

The h.wood Group is seeking experienced Servers for its New York location, joining a team delivering warm, lavish hospitality. You will provide knowledgeable and efficient service in a fast-paced, fine-dining setting, with a focus on memorable guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have prior fine-dining experience, strong communication, and a collaborative spirit. Open availability is preferred, and a NY Certified Food Handlers Card is required.

Qualifications

• Must have NY Certified Food Handlers Card.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Basic understanding of beer, wine, and spirits preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Guide guests through all phases of their experience at the restaurant.
• Inform customers of Chef’s specials, menu changes and additions, and answer questions.
• Take food and beverage orders, suggestively selling specific menu items.
• Oversee table maintenance and coordinate service with team members.
• Bussers assist with clearing and resetting tables and stocking stations.
• Respond to guests’ needs with a proactive approach.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
• Maintain inventory and proper condition of equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with management and service staff regarding guest needs or incidents.
• Attend daily pre-shift meetings and review expectations.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
