Job summary

Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Formal Server to deliver polished, wine-forward service to members and guests across multi-course dining experiences.

You will greet guests, recommend daily specials and wine pairings, and maintain exacting standards for timing, presentation, and accuracy. The role requires flexibility, fine-dining expertise, and a commitment to superior hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of service experience in fine dining restaurants or country clubs.
• Excellent communication, hospitable, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of wine, wine service and wine pairings.
• Ability to time service of each course and mark the table.

Responsibilities

• Set the dining room with proper linens, silverware, napkins, and glassware.
• Set up the side station and perform assigned side (prep) work.
• Greet and acknowledge members and guests; provide immediate attention.
• Serve tables efficiently, offering daily specials and wine suggestions.
• Follow proper formal service protocols for bread, wine, and coursing.
• Facilitate service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right.
• Inform supervisor of any complaints.
• Ensure correct member numbers and names are used for billing.
• Complete all closing duties assigned by the manager.
