Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Server in a fast-paced dining environment. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages with accuracy and courtesy. Candidates should have strong English communication skills and a background in full-service dining.

Flex shifts, weekend work, and excellent teamwork are required. Food safety certifications (Food handlers, TIPS) are preferred and encouraged, with growth opportunities across Sonesta’s hospitality

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a server in full-service restaurant preferred - preferably in a fine dining establishment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Experience with computerized cash registers preferred.
• Food handlers and TIPS certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests in a prompt and professional manner.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Serve food and beverage orders after checking for correct temperature, appearance, and portions.
• Operate POS system and ensure orders are verified and transmitted promptly; adhere to cash handling policies.
• Periodically check-in with tables to ensure guests' expectations are met.
• Maintain dining areas, stations and servicing equipment cleanliness.
• Complete all closing duties and reports as assigned.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and grooming standards.
