Job summary

Danbury is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure efficient restaurant operations and uphold high standards of production, productivity, quality, and customer service for residents and guests. The role involves supervising dining room personnel, scheduling, greeting guests, and resolving complaints to guarantee an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities include staffing, reservations, overseeing cleanliness and supplies, and continual process improvement in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to apply good judgment and carry out written or oral instructions.
• Billing reconciliation/cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, coach and schedule dining room staff.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services.
• Greets guests, escorts to tables, and provides menus.
• Handle complaints to ensure a great dining experience.
• Assign tasks and coordinate dining room staff for timely service.
• Inspect dining room stations and inventory linens and supplies.
• Work toward continual improvement of the organization.
