Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a Dining Room Manager to oversee dining operations in our facility, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and efficiency. You will supervise dining room staff, coordinate reservations, greet guests, and resolve issues to maintain an exceptional resident and guest experience.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent and 1–3 years related experience, with strong communication, cash handling, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or staff.
• Ability to apply good judgment in following written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Maintains a high energy level and self-motivation.
• Billing reconciliation/cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and scheduling.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Handle and resolve complaints to ensure a great dining experience for residents and guests.
• Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel for prompt service.
• Inspect dining room stations for neatness and cleanliness; inventory linens and supplies.
• Contribute to continual improvement of the organization.
