Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a Dining Room Manager to oversee efficient restaurant operations for residents and guests. You will supervise dining room staff, ensure high production and customer-service standards, and coordinate reservations and special events.

The ideal candidate has relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a busy dining room while upholding high standards of service.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to apply good judgment in following written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems with several variables in standardized situations.
• Billing reconciliation/cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing: interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and scheduling.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus.
• Handle and fix all complaints to ensure a great dining experience for residents and guests.
• Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel for prompt service.
• Inspect dining room stations for neatness and cleanliness, and inventory linens and dining room supplies.
• Work toward continual improvement of the organization.
