Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Walnut Creek is seeking a pantry cook to join our upscale dining team. You will set up the pantry station, stock ingredients and smallwares, and assist with prep and plating to ensure the highest quality and presentation during service.

You will cook according to Ruth's Chris standards, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with chefs and food runners to deliver an exceptional guest experience. A fast-paced environment and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months cooking experience in pantry or salad station.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced upscale dining environment.
• Good communication with supervisors and guests.

Responsibilities

• Set up pantry station with all cold items, equipment, and supplies per prep list.
• Assist kitchen team in prep and sidework.
• Prepare and cook items according to Ruth's Chris standards.
• Ensure proper timing and plating for service.
• Check stock levels and rotate items; report discrepancies.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Complete closing duties and assist during service.
• Maintain uniform cleanliness.
