Job summary

801 Fish St. Louis is hiring a part-time, non-exempt line cook to join a team-oriented, high-volume kitchen focused on guest-centric service and quality food and drinks.

The role requires 2–3 years of line cook experience (sauté preferred), ability to work under pressure, knife handling, following recipes and food-safety guidelines, and reliable, flexible availability including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years, but preferably at least 3 years of line cook experience. Candidates with sauté experience are preferred.
• Ability to successfully work as line cook in a fast-paced / high stress environment while remaining calm, professional and working effectively as part of a team
• Ability to handle knives, operate kitchen equipment, work with high heat/open flame
• Ability to follow recipe & presentation guidelines while maintaining proper food safety & sanitation standards
• Coordinate food orders to support timely / efficient delivery to each table; meet special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality standards
• Ability to effectively communicate with BOH team in loud environment
• Must have open availability (any day of the week), including nights, weekends & some holidays
• Regular, predictable and reliable attendance is required
