Job summary

Eddie Merlot’s Prime Steak and Seafood in Indianapolis is seeking experienced Line Cooks for our fine dining kitchen. You will prepare high quality dishes, follow Eddie Merlot’s standard recipes, and maintain clean, sanitary stations to ensure exceptional dining for our guests.

Work closely with the Executive and Sous Chefs, set up stations, rotate tasks, and participate in ongoing training to uphold our safety and presentation standards.

Qualifications

• One or more year’s experience as a line cook, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and production, cooking techniques, sanitation and safe food handling.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food dishes following Eddie Merlot’s standard recipes, portion control, temperature and presentation specifications.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized work station throughout the shift.
• Set up station and carry out food preparation assignments.
• Re-stock and rotate products, handle and store items according to procedures.
• Demonstrate teamwork and assist other kitchen staff as needed, including cross-training.
