Job summary

Blu Prime Steakhouse is seeking a Fine Dining Host to be the welcoming first contact for guests. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating from arrival to service, ensuring smooth flow and a positive dining experience.

In this role you will work closely with servers and the kitchen during busy periods, maintain accurate seating plans, and provide courteous, professional service consistent with the restaurant’s standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fine dining or upscale establishment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for professional guest interaction.
• Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
• Ability to work well with servers and kitchen staff during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming first impression.
• Manage reservations, confirm details, and coordinate seating changes.
• Seat guests thoughtfully based on availability and service flow.
• Monitor dining room seating readiness and communicate wait times clearly.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to support efficient service.
• Address guest questions and requests with courteous, professional handling.
• Track arrivals, departures, and table status in OpenTable.
• Escalate issues per procedure to maintain guest experiences.
• Maintain front-of-house professionalism and ensure consistent service.
