Blu Prime Steakhouse is seeking a Fine Dining Host to be the welcoming first contact for guests. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating from arrival to service, ensuring smooth flow and a positive dining experience.

In this role you will work closely with servers and the kitchen during busy periods, maintain accurate seating plans, and provide courteous, professional service consistent with the restaurant’s standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fine dining or upscale establishment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for professional guest interaction.
• Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with OpenTable or similar reservation systems.
• Ability to work well with servers and kitchen staff during peak hours.

About the Role

As a Fine Dining Host at Blu Prime Steakhouse, you are often the first point of contact for guests. You create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating coordination from arrival to service. Success in this role means delivering consistently positive guest experiences, maintaining accurate reservation and seating flow, and partnering effectively with servers and kitchen staff - especially during peak dining hours and busy service periods.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally, ensuring a warm, welcoming first impression.
• Manage reservations by confirming details, maintaining accurate seating plans, and coordinating changes as needed.
• Seat guests thoughtfully based on availability, preferences when available, and timing for service flow.
• Monitor the dining room for seating readiness and communicate wait times clearly and respectfully.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to support efficient service and accurate table readiness.
• Handle guest questions and requests with excellent customer service and a calm, professional approach.
• Maintain an organized front-of-house presence by tracking arrivals, departures, and table status in OpenTable.
• Resolve service-impacting issues quickly by escalating appropriately and following established standards.
• Support a positive dining environment by maintaining professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail.
• Follow all relevant policies and procedures to ensure consistent guest experiences throughout each shift.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a fine dining or upscale establishment (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of guests.
• Strong customer service skills and a guest-first mindset.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently using OpenTable.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service while maintaining composure and accuracy.Ability to setup and teardown table settings when needed.
• Demonstrated teamwork and professionalism with servers and kitchen staff.
• Ability to stand and move throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using reservation and scheduling tools (software/tools may include restaurant reservation systems and basic POS-related systems).
• High attention to detail and consistent reliability in a role with frequent guest interaction.
