Job summary

Legends in New Orleans is seeking a Cook 3 to provide quick and efficient service within a fine dining culinary experience. You will follow kitchen leadership for opening/closing, prepare items to standards, and ensure food temperatures and sanitation are upheld.

The role requires English literacy, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior culinary training or high-volume restaurant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
• One year experience in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant recommended.
• Professional culinary education or equivalent working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisors assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
• Prepare food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
• Ensures that proper food temperatures are maintained
• Responsible for safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains
• Participates as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of product
• Maintain proper sanitation for all dining and cooking utensils and cookware
• H andles and cleans kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury
• Adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards
