Job summary

The Madison Club in La Quinta, CA is seeking a food runner to support fine-dining service. You will deliver dishes to guests, clear tables, and assist kitchen staff to ensure accurate plating and timely service.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 3+ months in a fine-dining or high-volume environment, plus knowledge of food safety. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; State Food Safety Certificate.
• Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations.
• Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of food items to the guest table, ensuring delivery to the proper seat.
• Clear away used items and check water glass levels, refill as needed.
• Replace any silverware as needed throughout service.
• Check surrounding areas for items to be cleared.
• Provide brief explanations of items delivered and anticipate guest needs.
• Assist kitchen staff to ensure dishes are plated properly and delivered accurately.
• Prepare the runner station for each meal period and restock as needed.
• Be familiar with menu items and ready to answer guest questions.
