Job summary

Eddie Merlot's in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver superior guest service at both the bar and dining room. You will prepare beverages per recipes, greet guests, and ensure a clean, well-stocked lounge with accurate pouring and thoughtful upselling.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Bartender, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Must have a state license to serve alcohol and understand state/local liquor regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixed drinks.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to multi-task.
• Professional communication and social skills for guests.
• Self-motivation and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to take direction.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexibility for part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete and pass required training modules for Bartenders and Servers.
• Know and adhere to the weekly work schedule and dress standards.
• Understand beverage and menu options and follow recipes.
• Greet guests and take orders; prepare and serve drinks.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stock; support lounge setup.
• Assist with upselling and menu guidance to guests.
• Handle check presentation, payment, and tips per procedures.
• Collaborate with Managers on guest requests and special events.
• May assist with prime society service and membership.
