Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI, seeks an energetic bartender to deliver the highest level of beverage service at our AAA Four Diamond resort. You will master the drink menu, manage bar stations, and ensure accurate guest checks while collaborating with culinary and management teams.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of one year in fine-dining bartending, strong wine and spirit knowledge, and the ability to multitask and handle POS operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 to serve alcohol.
• Minimum one year of bartending experience in fine dining; extensive wine/spirits/beer knowledge.
• Flexible schedule including Fridays and Saturdays.
• Strong communication skills and hospitality industry familiarity.
• Ability to obtain necessary licenses; bartending certificate required.
• Lift trays up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control.
• English proficiency for guest communication and orders.

Responsibilities

• Fully understands the drink menu, wine list, ingredients, and preparation.
• Responsible for complete bar and lounge service.
• Maintain flow of soiled dishes to kitchen and clean supplies to dining area.
• Clean and reset bar and lounge during and after service.
• Use POS efficiently and manage bar inventory.
• Multi-task and manage designated stations.
• Perform opening/closing duties and side work tasks.
• Communicate with culinary/management teams clearly.
• Process guest checks and closing paperwork promptly.
• Address guest complaints regarding service, product, and staff.
• Delegate service responsibilities to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
