Job summary

Wise in Austin seeks a FinCrime Quality Senior Specialist to empower the QC team, improve quality processes, and oversee Check-the-Checker (CTC) reviews. The role includes calibration sessions, dispute resolution, and mentoring new hires to sustain high quality and compliance.

You will collaborate with Training, Knowledge Management, and Continuous Improvement teams, driving the quality management framework across the organization while reporting to the Quality Team Lead.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of AML/CTF guidelines and/or FinCrime controls.
• Experience in a Fintech and/or FinCrime environment (6+ months in a Fincrime role).
• Experience with data analysis tools (Looker, SQL, Lightdash) to extract insights for investigations and process improvements.
• Can work independently and make risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Performs CTC (Check the checker).
• Conduct regular quality checks on Quality Specialists, vendors and products.
• Provides constructive feedback to Quality Specialists for performance improvement.
• Manages and responds to QC review disputes and makes necessary corrections.
• Arranges and leads calibration sessions for Quality Specialists.
• Mentors and onboard new joiners; develops structured training plans.
• Collaborates with Training, KM, and CI; reports to the Quality Team Lead.
