Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation in Jefferson City seeks a Financial Services Manager to supervise financial accounting, reporting, and payroll functions, including federally funded projects and inventories.

You will lead staff, develop policies, coordinate with federal partners, and ensure compliance with laws and accounting standards. Occasional statewide travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field AND six years of experience in accounting, benefits administration, auditing, or financial analyst positions.
• Ten years of experience in accounting, benefits administration, auditing, or financial analyst positions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff responsible for creating financial documents for federally funded projects using Microsoft Excel and state and federal financial management systems (FACS, FMIS, SAMII, etc.).
• Oversees coordination with federal agency partners to administer federal funds in accordance with federal requirements.
• Supervises staff coordinating with MoDOT Divisions and Districts to deliver federally funded projects.
• Develops financial policies and procedures, including research and analysis of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Provides guidance and direction to staff regarding department policies and procedures.

• Develops financial policies and procedures, including research and analysis of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Provides guidance and direction to staff regarding department policies and procedures.
