Virginia Tech's Fralin Biomedical Research Institute seeks a Financial Services Associate to support daily fiscal operations, including procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and travel. The role ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and maintains internal controls, guiding faculty and staff on financial procedures.
The position interfaces with the Controller’s Office, Bursar’s Office, and Procurement.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Services Associate provides support to the day-to‑day fiscal operations of the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute. Responsibilities include various fiscal and administrative tasks in areas of procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget, and travel. The Financial Services Associate is responsible for ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal regulations, maintaining internal controls, and serves as a point of contact to provide guidance for faculty and staff regarding financial procedures and processes. They will also coordinate and work with university departments such as the Controller’s Office, Bursar’s Office, and Procurement department.
