Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Fiscal Technician to support Blair County Children, Youth & Families and Juvenile Probation with essential financial record keeping and accounting tasks. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and collaboration with the financial operations team.

Full-time schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This position does not offer telework and includes a generous benefits package as part of state employment.

Qualifications

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or three years of work involving maintenance of fiscal or financial records with accounting principles; and graduation from high school; or.
• One year of experience maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Process orders: Review purchase orders and financial paperwork for accuracy and documentation.
• Record payments: Enter, track, and reconcile payments, child support, and subsidy transactions.
• Maintain records: Manage financial and payroll information to keep data complete and organized.
• Prepare reports: Compile financial summaries and reports for internal use and planning.
• Support audits: Provide documentation and information needed for audit reviews and compliance checks.
• Assist planning: Help with annual compensation planning activities and related financial tasks.

Education
