Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Northumberland County is seeking a Fiscal Technician to support the Northumberland County Children & Youth agency. You will perform ledger maintenance, voucher processing, and financial reporting to assist daily operations and funding compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or an associate degree in accounting or business administration with related experience. Work hours are 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or three years of fiscal records work with high school diploma.
• One year maintaining fiscal records with an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or equivalent.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• You must meet PA residency requirements and be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Ledger oversight and maintenance of ledgers and journals for the agency.
• Prepare and post weekly expense vouchers using a structured accounting system.
• Assist with the agency's quarterly reports for multiple funding streams.
• Record and retain income data for foster children and eligibility requirements.
• Establish and review internal processing for accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
