Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is offering a summer internship in Chicago with five days in the office per week, across select offices in Chicago, Kansas City and New York City. Interns will support attorneys on regulatory matters, drafts, and corporate governance tasks under the guidance of experienced lawyers.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a JD program, has at least one year of law school remaining, and demonstrates strong MS Office skills, written and verbal communication, and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a J.D. program and have at least one year of law school remaining.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Sound professional judgment.
• Experience with confidential documents and information.
• Self-starter and strong team player.
• Versatile and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and provide support to Cboe attorneys with all daily responsibilities, including financial products regulation, contract drafting, licensing, and corporate governance matters.
• Assist in preparing and submitting documents to regulators (e.g., SEC, CFTC) and related filings.
• Conduct legal research on equities, options, futures, digital assets, and foreign exchange regulation, market structure and related topics.
