Job summary

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York invites applications for the Practice Director, Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The role partners with FIG leadership to shape strategy and execution, coordinating with Business Development, KM&I, Finance, Recruiting, and other admin functions.

You will oversee communications, budgeting, reporting, client initiatives and attorney onboarding, helping the group achieve financial and service goals while maintaining the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Practice management experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the practice group strategy for FIG.
• Coordinate with Business Development, KM&I, Finance and Recruiting.
• Oversee communications, budgeting, reporting, and onboarding.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and manage key initiatives.
