AmeriHome Mortgage, a Western Alliance Bank company, is seeking a Financial Engineer to build data-driven solutions that support Retail Lending. You will design scalable datasets and SQL processes, develop lead targeting and KPI dashboards, and present insights to business leaders.

The role focuses on partnering with key stakeholders, automating reporting, and solving analytical challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.
• Entry level knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending including; sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
• Entry level knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with C#, SQL Server, Excel and Excel VBA, PowerBI.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with statistical analysis, including the use of tools like R or Python.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering & Analytical Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain scalable datasets, SQL processes, analytical tools, and reporting solutions that support Retail Lending strategy and operations.
• Portfolio Targeting & Decision Analytics: Develop and enhance analytical processes that identify and prioritize borrower opportunities within AmeriHome’s mortgage servicing portfolio.
• Reporting & Business Intelligence: Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and recurring management reporting.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Communication: Partner with leaders across Retail Sales, Marketing, Operations, Capital Markets, Servicing, and Technology.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting, data preparation, lead-generation, and decision-support processes.
• Independent Problem-Solving & Execution: Take ownership of assignments from discovery through implementation and delivery.
