Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of Controller or similar accounting management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

We are an established Houston-area international grocery export company specializing in American consumer brands and serving more than 30 international destinations.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our financial operations. This position will initially work directly with our current Financial Controller as part of a planned leadership transition. Over approximately 9-12 months, the selected candidate will learn our business and systems before assuming full responsibility for the Financial Controller role. Our current Controller will then transition into Internal Audit and Information/Data Systems.
