Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

We are an established Houston-area international grocery export company specializing in American consumer brands and serving more than 30 international destinations.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller ready to grow into the Financial Controller role. This position will work directly with our current Financial Controller as part of a planned leadership transition. Over approximately 9–12 months, the selected candidate will learn our business and systems with the expectation of assuming full responsibility for the Financial Controller role. Our current Controller will then transition into Internal Audit and Information/Data Systems.

Key Responsibilities
