Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Authorization Specialist to join the Rehab Team in a full-time role. The position focuses on financial clearance by securing proper authorization or NOA, ensuring accurate patient data, and maintaining positive relationships with providers and payers.

The role involves collaboration across BJC Hospital networks, interaction with offices and patients, and contributing to a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain authorization/NOA and accurately document patient data.

Responsibilities

• Validate patient information, scheduling, and insurance details with high accuracy.
• Coordinate with providers, payers, and offices; ensure smooth authorization workflows.
• Maintain professional communication to support patient and office interactions.
• Support Ancillary/Surgery/NOA authorization processes and use multiple systems to secure authorization information.
