Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an Authorization Specialist for the Rehab Team. You will manage pre-certifications, NOAs, and insurance verifications to ensure smooth patient access and accurate data capture.

In this role, you’ll interact with provider offices, payers, and patients, maintaining a high standard of service and teamwork. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position within the Rehab Administration department.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy in patient data and authorization details.
• Strong communication with providers, payers, and patients to secure approvals.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely financial clearance.

Responsibilities

• Validate patient information, scheduling, and insurance data for authorization.
• Communicate with provider offices, payers, and patients to obtain approvals and schedule follow-ups.
• Review and resolve mismatches across orders, registrations, and insurance systems.
• Initiate contact with provider offices and payers to secure Ancillary and NOA authorizations.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and accreditation standards.
