• Ability to analyze patient accounts and determine insurance coverage and patient liability.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete patient accounts based on departmental protocol and regulatory guidance.
• Inform patients of financial liability and arrange payment options.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and verify insurance requirements.
• Resolve billing errors and denials and update the billing system.
• Gather documentation to support inquiries and complaints.
• Refer patients to financial counseling and assistance programs.
