Financial Assistant/Case Manager
The Financial Assistant/Case Manager Specialist ensures that each client obtains entitlements clearance at intake and that residents’ benefits are maintained for eligibility. The position will ensure that each Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) package has all the required documentation to assess veterans’ eligibility for financial assistance. The specialist also assists veterans through the process and helps them obtain the necessary documentation to determine their eligibility. Effective, sensitive communication with both clients and staff is essential, as is an understanding of each client’s varied and changing capacities during the sometimes complex TFA process.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a community‑based outreach program that identifies low‑income veteran households and connects them with a range of supportive services to promote housing stability and prevent homelessness.
