Job summary

Socket.dev in Houston, TX is seeking a Full-Time Financial Administrator responsible for timely and accurate payment of clients’ program expenses to third party providers and meticulous record-keeping.

You will process Temporary Financial Assistance payments, confirm receipts, and submit TFA data to Finance weekly while coordinating with the Lead Case Manager, QA, and Program Manager. Strong HMIS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent; associate degree in accounting preferred.
• 6+ months accounting/bookkeeping/auditing experience; 1 year preferred.
• Regular and reliable attendance as determined by employer.
• Driver's license with clear record; daily use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process Temporary Financial Assistance payments to third-party providers for approved expenses as part of the client’s service plan.
• Confirm receipt of payments.
• Submit TFA to Finance on a weekly basis and maintain communication with Lead Case Manager, QA, Finance, and Program Manager.
• Conduct a peer-to-peer Quality Assurance audit of TFA and correct as needed to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate checkbook/accounting balance at all times; forward receipts to accounting promptly.
• Keep detailed records of payments and HMIS data entry for client files.
