Job summary

Trane Technologies in Tyler, Texas is seeking a Financial Analyst II/Accountant II to join its Integrated Supply Chain Finance team. On-site role supporting monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Residential HVAC and Supply organization.

The role reports to the Tyler Plant Controller and requires 2–4 years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems. Competitive base salary and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; 2–4 years’ experience in general accounting, finance or cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• GAAP knowledge (Generally accepted accounting principles)
• MS Office proficiency; Oracle or equivalent ERP/manufacturing application; OneStream, Tableau and Dataiku experience a plus
• Exhibit a positive attitude and poise under pressure
• Proven track record of working independently and managing multiple projects or deliverables
• Problem-solving, detail orientation, and sensitivity to tight time frames
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; translate financial information for non-financial audiences

Responsibilities

• Provides timely and accurate assistance with monthly closing and supporting analysis
• Reviews and processes information to create journal entries in the general ledger
• Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and reviews for GAAP, SOX and company policies
• Review variances to determine causes and corrective actions
• Participates in operational excellence initiatives to support organizational goals
• Supports annual budget, standard cost, forecasting and monthly/quarterly cycles
• Supports annual physical inventory process
• Delivers timely, accurate financial reports to management
