Job summary

Trane Technologies plc in Wisconsin is seeking a Financial Analyst to focus on standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management. You will partner with production, materials, and engineering to ensure accurate costing and efficient inventory controls.

You will develop costing methods, prepare reports for management, and support budgets and forecasts. The role requires a bachelor's in finance or accounting and 1–2+ years in accounting or manufacturing, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in general accounting or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain standard costing for all products.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual and standard costs.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Collaborate with procurement to analyze material usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and present detailed reporting and analysis to management.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts related to production costs and inventory.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support annual physical inventory and standard cost setting process.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and systems.
• Other ad hoc requests/projects as needed.

• Data analytics (Alteryx, Tableau) a plus.

Compensation: Base Pay Range: $61,500-80,950 Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
