Job summary

Illinois State University is seeking a Financial Aid Representative to be the first point of contact for the Financial Aid Office. You will handle questions by email, phone, and at the front desk, counseling and advising student aid applicants and recipients, and helping with forms and data entry.

You will represent the office at on-campus and off-campus events and coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate guidance and processing.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework and/or office, business, or customer relations experience; 30 semester hours counts as one year, bachelor's degree as three.
• Strong communication skills for email, phone, and in-person inquiries.
• Ability to manage documents and data entry accurately.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from applicants and recipients by email, phone, and front desk.
• Counsel and advise student aid applicants and recipients on available programs and requirements.
• Receive and prepare forms and documentation for processing aid.
• Represent the Financial Aid Office at events on- and off-campus.
