Job summary

Mutual of Omaha’s Accelerator Program invites self-motivated individuals to become Financial Representative Trainees. You’ll gain hands-on experience selling Individual Insurance products while building a holistic financial practice through mentorship and real client exposure.

Expect a structured path to independence within 24 months, a competitive first-year earnings range, and an education-first program with retirement plan benefits. Travel up to 50% of local miles is required.

Qualifications

• Be highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time within the local metro area, hold and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license, and have access to reliable transportation for meetings and appointments.
• Obtain the required insurance licenses prior to starting the job, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam.
• Pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months of entry into the program.
• Applicants for this position must not require sponsorship for employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop the skills to provide holistic financial advice to clients and participate in goal setting sessions and progress evaluation meetings.
• Gain direct sales experience marketing Individual Insurance products and pass a sales process competency test.
• Cultivate prospecting skills through research, targeting, networking, and social media.
• Acquire in-depth understanding of product offerings and demonstrate knowledge of their features and benefits.
• Oversee content, proposals, and paperwork flow to ensure a seamless application and underwriting process.
