Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) is seeking an Accountant to serve as Financial Accountant, applying GAAP, preparing financial reports, and ensuring procurement compliance.

The role covers GL reconciliations, grant accounting, SEFA preparation, and budget monitoring for federal, state, and local funding. Work hours are traditional, with salary determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualificações

• GAAP knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards.
• Experience with general ledger, grants accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze budgets and procurement compliance.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, preparing, and tracking procurement budgets by source and department.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts for grants and other funding.
• Prepare agency balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze monthly revenue/expense reports for division Directors.
• Support annual financial audit and SEFA documentation.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
