Responsibilities

• Oversees Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, enters requisitions and payments, and reconciles funds using accounting software.
• Oversees audits of financial records as the primary communication point and assigns audit-related tasks.
• Maintains banking records and provides recommendations on banking institutions.
• Performs monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversees GL maintenance, reviews journal entries, and ensures completeness with other financial records.
• Maintains confidential governmental financial records per GAAP and GASB guidelines.
• Oversees payroll processing and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with laws.
• Engages in professional development and oversees training of staff.
• Acts as lead worker by assigning tasks, training, and providing feedback.
