This role reports to the Finance Manager and is central to month-end close and statutory reporting. You will manage the general ledger, produce IFRS consolidated results and standalone financial statements, and liaise with auditors and tax

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Professional qualification or active pursuit of one.

Job description

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will own key aspects of the month-end close and statutory reporting.
• You will work fully remotely across the UK with occasional meet-ups in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger, including balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Produce IFRS consolidated results and standalone financial statements, plus monthly management reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, bank managers, ONS, and tax specialists on compliance matters.

About You:

• You bring 3-5 years of accounting experience and a professional qualification or active pursuit of one.
• You are highly organised, deadline-driven, and proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• You are curious, empathetic, and comfortable with ambiguity in an evolving environment.
