The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of experience with US GAAP, and hands-on proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation, and data analysis).
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare and review general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support group reporting and respond to ad hoc finance requests.
• Maintain documentation, internal controls, and assist with audits and tax prep.
