Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager, Finance Transformation for the Power & Utilities sector. You will co-create strategies to drive sustainable value, design operating models, and lead end-to-end Finance Transformation programs leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

You will collaborate with CFOs, manage delivery across bills-to-cash and record-to-report processes, and travel extensively to client sites to enable successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (4-year).
• Typically 2–4 years relevant consulting experience in Power & Utilities.
• Experience with P&U finance functions and SAP/Oracle/PowerPlan.
• Experience in business case development.
• Experience in digital strategy.
• Knowledge of finance compliance and regulation.
• Ability to assess finance quality, maturity, efficiency & risk.
• Finance strategy, operating model & transformation roadmap expertise.
• Commitment to finance sustainability.

Responsibilities

• PowerPlan implementation and integration with ERP/EAM systems.
• Finance operating model design and optimization.
• Finance processes improvement and optimization.
• Design and implementation of shared services/global biz services.
• Outsourcing advisory for clients.
• FP&A and financial planning support.
• Finance systems and intelligent automation initiatives.
• Close, consolidation and reporting improvements.
• Cost management and profitability analysis.
• P2P and R2R processes optimization.
• Asset and project accounting focus.
• Interconnections of CIS, GLs, and billing.
• Understanding utility rate structures, recovery models.
• Knowledge of power transmission/distribution financial drivers.
• FERC reporting intersections with GAAP.
• Define and execute key deliverables; manage timelines.
• Engage clients, lead working sessions; travel 60–80%.
