Job summary

Appian is seeking a Finance Systems Lead to optimize core finance platforms, including NetSuite ERP, Anaplan, and Zone Billing, while ensuring SOX control compliance across the order-to-cash lifecycle. You will partner with Audit, IT, FP&A, and Accounting to deliver accurate financial reporting and faster month-end closes.

The role focuses on enhancing data integrity, implementing sustainable processes, and aligning finance tooling with business growth in a fast-paced, SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related business field.
• 5-10 years experience managing and configuring Finance ERP systems in a corporate environment.
• Deep understanding of SOX audit controls, system access governance, and change management.
• Knowledge of general ledger, revenue recognition, billing, AR and FP&A processes.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, Xactly, Anaplan, Zone Billing or CPQ tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze data discrepancies, and implement sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead configuration and optimization of core finance systems including NetSuite ERP, Anaplan, and Zone Billing/CPQ.
• Enforce SOX-compliant controls across financial systems with internal/external auditors.
• Execute change management processes with proper testing, documentation, and communication.
• Translate technical changes into business impact for Finance stakeholders.
• Manage vendor relationships and system integrations ensuring data quality for decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce manual work and speed up close timelines.
