Job summary

Responsibilities include drafting financial sections of proposals, reconciling statements, generating reports, supervising junior staff, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret policies and guidelines.
• Proficient with reconciliations, general ledger, journal entries and cost transfers.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, charts, and data manipulation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under time constraints with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent attendance and reliability as evidenced by references.

Responsibilities

• Draft preliminary financial sections of proposals.
• Review proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with grantor and university requirements.
• Monitor and maintain financial activity of accounts, ensuring proper expenditure postings and researching questionable items.
• Serve as principal source of information on financial policies and procedures.
• Reconcile and analyze financial statements; prepare standard and specialized reports.
• Oversee and instruct support staff; maintain financial records and files.
