Job summary

Yale Cancer Center in New Haven, CT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for Operations FP&A to provide analytical, reporting, and planning support across multiple units. You will help unit leaders understand financial performance, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.

The role covers annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly monitoring, and long-range financial modeling, with recurring and ad hoc analyses, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills, including but not limited to quantitative and qualitative analysis of internal and external data to support the development and execution of business improvement strategies.
• Ability to analyze large data sets; recognize patterns to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and write comprehensive reports.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, Word, Project, Outlook and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of ERP Systems.
• Ability to work in diverse cross-functional teams with limited guidance; build strong relationships with business partners and suppliers.

• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyzes and synthesizes information and designs and creates accurate and timely reports.
• Financial methods and systems: Influences, plans, and designs methods to improve practices, processes and systems.
• Strategic Resource: Translates department finance strategies into goals and identifies opportunities and risks.
• Compliance and risk management: Establishes internal controls and ensures adherence to policies.
• Mentors, leads and/or supervises staff.
