Job summary

Western Digital Corp. seeks a Senior Director, Finance - Data Center Segment to lead the financial strategy for WD's largest business unit, spanning enterprise HDD, nearline storage, and next-gen capacity storage.

You will own planning, forecasting, performance management, and partner with Sales, Planning, and Pricing to align forecasts with commitments and market dynamics. Build a high-performing finance organization and drive continuous improvement using AI-driven forecasting and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (required)
• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business (preferred)
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Financial Planning & Forecasting processes (AOP, quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, long-range plans)
• Drive revenue and gross margin forecasting across DC segments with accuracy and discipline
• Partner with Sales, Business Planning, and Pricing to align forecasts with commitments and market targets
• Translate macro trends into quantified financial impact for executive planning
• Lead monthly business reviews with senior leadership and deliver concise financial presentations
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards for revenue, gross margin, ASP trends, and product profitability
• Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions with cross-functional partners
• Build risk and opportunity frameworks for balanced, scenario-based outlooks
• Serve as strategic partner to the DC GM on major business decisions
• Support product roadmap investments, deal economics, and market expansion with rigorous analysis
